Operations Associate III - Payment Services Administration


M&T Center - Buffalo, New York


 



Department Overview:


The Payment Services department is responsible for sending authenticated domestic and international payments in both US dollar and foreign currencies. Payment Services supports commercial customers, retail customers and internal Bank users.  The Operations Associate III on the Administrative Team performs skilled duties requiring analysis and expanded use of judgment.


 


Basic Function:
Perform skilled clerical duties requiring simple analysis and expanded use of judgment within assigned department.



Responsibilities:



•        
System Administration for various applications used for Wire Processing and Reporting



•        
User report distribution for quarterly user recertification’s for various Payment Services applications



•        
Daily Canadian Compliance Reporting



•        
Review Retail and Private Banking legal agreements for accuracy and complete customer setups within the Wire Application



•        
Manage various departmental e-mail boxes and incoming faxes



•        
Validate token request via e-mail and create work orders as appropriate



•        
Provide timely, knowledgeable and courteous support to internal customers with basic problem resolution via telephone and e-mail   



•        
Perform daily audit of all administrative set-up activity



•        
Perform general office duties such as logging/distributing interoffice  mail, filing and faxing



•        
Outlook and telephone communication with internal and external customers



•        
Solves general problems independently, refers the most involved problem to management



•        
Perform other duties as requested by management


 


Minimum Qualifications Required:



•         High School or GED required. 



•         A minimum of two years relevant work experience. 



•         Good PC skills with knowledge of MS Office products



•         Math skills necessary. 



•         Supports cross training activities and the ability to work in a team environment. 



•         Demonstrated oral and written communication skills. 



•         Good organizational and customer service skills. 



•         Flexibility to support multiple business lines. 



•         Must be reliable.   


 Ideal Qualifications Preferred:



•         Associates Degree



•         A minimum of three years of office experience
