Job Description

  Administer and maintain purchase of poly bags for IBC private label customers.


  Administer and maintain purchase of corrugated for IBC bakeries and corrugated displays for IBC Marketing.


  Manage poly bag and prepress vendors involved in the purchase of poly bags for private label customers.


  Compile complete specifications for private label poly bags and corrugated items in purchasing packaging database (CSIMS).


Maintain SAP status on the life cycle of the packaging SKU (active, replaced, obsolete, etc.).

Job Requirements

Education and/or on-the-job experience needed

  Three years + purchasing experience needed


  B. S. Business Administration preferred or equivalent


Industry-specific knowledge, skills & abilities needed

  Packaging experience preferred.


  Experience negotiating and maintaining national purchasing agreements preferred


Functional/Job-Related knowledge, skills & abilities needed

  Knowledge of MRP/SAP computer systems application preferred


  Analytical ability to review pricing and select best quote from a total cost perspective;       balancing upfront costs with unit costs and delivery costs.


  Lead cost reduction projects while working as a team with Operations, Engineering, Marketing and Sales Departments.


Management experience needed

    Work planning, organization and execution – Ability to coordinate the performance of vendors with the launch of new products requiring working with customers, Marketing, Sales, Regulatory, Legal and vendors.

    Set and achieve goals – standardize sku’s and group orders to achieve lower cost.


 Interpersonal knowledge, skills & abilities needed


   Excellent written communication – effectively communicate via memos, presentations, agreements and electronic communication.


  Excellent oral communications – ability to effectively convey and present findings and direction to management, colleagues and large groups.


 Ability to articulate, develop and document policies and procedures.


 IBC-specific knowledge/experience needed


 Thorough understanding of IBC purchasing process
